In 1997 the decision was taken to build a world-class contemporary art gallery in Margate. After much investment and controversy, Turner Contemporary eventually opened its doors 14 years later.

This is the story of a town-in-waiting.

This MA project was the result of two years work and included a six-week residency with CRATE in Margate in 2007.
